On October 3rd, right after a photo shoot with Ashlee, I checked my phone and saw a text from JFred who is one of the members of a YouTube channel called Team Edge, asking if I was available to do camera work for two episodes they were shooting the 4th. My mouth dropped and I tried to calmly type that I was available.
Meet Team Edge!
Team Edge is YouTube Channel with over 6 million subscribers that makes a variety of videos from awesome challenges they made themselves, sport and board game challenges, escape rooms, or food-based challenges.
I had so much fun working on set with a team of people dedicated to creating hilarious and awesome videos. Even just walking into their studio was exciting because it proves that it is possible to make a successful career out of YouTube.
My experience in their studio was not what I expected. Everything is very professional and ran just like you would expect any other business to be. I have to say that one of the best part of it all, besides the experience and networking, was being behind the camera and watching these guys. Within minutes my face was already starting to hurt from smiling so much and trying to withhold my laughter from behind the camera. These guys are seriously funny and so entertaining, its no wonder they have gained such a big following.
I said it in my post about filming for LemonMade and I'll say it again; ever since I first started watching YouTube videos in junior high I have wanted to become a YouTuber. Today has been an even bigger step in achieving that part of my dream.
