Another Senior Portraits shoot in Santa Clarita! Today was a fun experience taking Josh's Senior Portraits and being a part of his final year in high school.
He currently attends Saugus High School as a senior in the Santa Clarita Valley. Josh and I have known each other for a little over a year, and when his mom asked him if he knew of anyone that took senior portraits he thought of me! Later his mom reached out to me asking for more information and a few days later we met up for coffee. We created a game plan consisting of locations, outfits, and a date.
This would be my first time doing a photoshoot with a male model and I knew it was going to be different than my previous photoshoots. The type of locations, poses, and colors are just a few of the things that were different than my other shoots. With all this said, I was excited to start learning something new! So I dedicated two days to learning as much as possible about male model photoshoots.
The day of the shoot we were already faced with a very bright and hot day. We took a few practice shots to get more relaxed and comfortable and started to quicken our pace as we began getting excited with how the photos were turning out so far. After about an hour of shooting in one of Santa Clarita's historical parks we moved on a particular building with great brick walls that served as a perfect backdrop for Josh's outfits. After a few shots we then moved on to one last location. Josh and I experimented with goofy photos that would really reflect Josh's fun personality.
We had a lot of laughs on this fun photoshoot, and I can not wait for more to come as I do more portraits this year. I'm excited to keep on capturing these special moments for families as their sons and daughters graduate, and to keep making more memories in the process.
