Today I had the amazing experience to help in the production of Getting Good, a beautiful country song by Lauren Alaina!
I was so excited to get to work with TK McKamy again, but this time on a much grander scale. Today I got to work on and study all the components of what it takes to make a high budget production. From camera technique and lighting all the way to protecting the set walls with cardboard to safely move gear around.
Even though I had learned previously about many of the different positions on set and what was required of each person. It was still incredible to see everything played out in person. Whether it was the afternoon or completely dark outside the set lighters easily could make any location look like it was sunset. When it came to camera operation it was incredible to see in action many components a camera split into multiple positions. Like having a designated person dedicated to focusing the camera while another person moved it around steadily.
Everyone was so friendly there, and Lauren was so outgoing and funny, it was just such a great time. By then end of the night, the Director, TK, and the Assistant Director both said they wanted to work with me again. So I can't wait to see what the future has in store!
